New In-House Repair Prices

 

Clean and Check - $75

Film Cameras: Check shutter speeds, clean exterior - add $15 for seals (if needed).


Digital Cameras: Clean sensor and exterior of camera. Viewfinder cleaning is NOT included. NO repairs are performed at this level.


Estimates - $25

All repairs will have a $25 estimate fee. The customer will only be charged this fee of they elect not to have their equipment repaired. This fee will NOT be charged on any repair submitted as a pre-approved Standard ($150) repair.


Standard Repairs - $150 (plus parts) Film cameras

This includes flash shoe repairs, broken lens mounts, rewind knobs, light meter adjustments, shutter speed adjustments, advance issues, viewfinder cleaning (if accessible) If, during the process of repair, additional issues are found, a revised estimate will be provided at no extra charge.


Major Repairs - Estimate

This includes major component replacements, drop damage, multiple issues, and complicated issues (estimate fee above applies).


Filter removal - $25-$40

Includes six month limited warranty on all services performed. At no time will any warranty claims or damages incurred exceed the price of the repair.

Film SLR Cameras

We are very fortunate to be able to offer in house film camera repair service. Only a few camera stores Nationwide have this service. Our technician has been servicing our cameras for over thirty years. We service cameras from all over the USA.


As you may understand many of these traditional camera parts are not available anymore. We have a large used parts department that we have acquired over the years and have contacts to find more if needed. 


When you bring in your Film SLR camera we will try to give you a ballpark price. Remember the person behind the counter is not a repairman but usually has seen a few repairs come in. Generally a Film SLR camera repair runs in the neighborhood of $125 - $150 plus parts. Medium format cameras $250 - $350. These are just ballpark prices but want you to be prepared so you can make a proper decision. 


Digital SLR Sensor Cleanings

Yes, our repairman does sensor cleaning. We try to rush this service because many of you will have camera withdrawals. In most cases 24-48 hrs. Monday thru Friday service.


The price for a sensor clean generally runs around $75.00 plus materials. In full frame cameras it may run a little more. Unless you have a knack for this kind of thing I would recommend a professional to do this service. It is very common for us to see cameras ruined by unqualified cleaning sensors.


If you do have this knack the stores sell most supplies to do it yourselfers. 


Digital Camera Repair

Generally we do not do this service in house. The service equipment to do this is expensive and many models have their dedicated diagnostic equipment. We can send the equipment out for you to an authorized service center and get an estimate. From our experience you will get better results doing it this way.


The fee if your turn down the estimate is $25 to cover our shipping cost.
